Wattie Cottage, named after the childhood name for Sir Walter Scott is situated on the banks of Loch Katrine, the setting for Sir Walter Scott’s ‘Lady of the Lake’ and home to the SS Sir Walter Scott steamship. A lovely four bedroom cottage on the edge of Loch Katrine in the Trossachs National Park. Sleeps up to 8 people. Charming and spacious, this 4 bedroom attached self catering cottage, the West wing of Stronachlachar House, sits in an isolated corner of Loch Katrine at Stronachlachar just 50 yards from the pier where the SS Sir Walter Scott steamer arrives daily during peak season. It nestles in the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park within 50 yards of Loch Katrine with breathtaking views of the Loch and surrounding hills of Ben Lomond, Ben Ledi and Ben Venue. An ideal location from which to absorb one of Scotland's most picturesque areas. Stronachlachar lies only a short distance from the colourful and welcoming villages of Aberfoyle and Callander which offer a choice of pubs, restaurants, unique shops and a host of colourful festivals run all year round. To the west lies Inversnaid on the east shore of Loch Lomond where a seasonal ferry provides a crossing to the west shore.
