Cyfiau Bach is a converted stone barn located on the outskirts of Devil's Bridge in the beautiful Rheidol Valley, Ceredigion.
The barn was converted in 2005 and the interior is spacious, modern and well equipped. There are two double bedrooms (one ensuite)and one twin bedded room. Heating is by electric storage heater and underfloor heating. There is also a woodburning stove.
The kitchen has full facilities including a dishwasher, microwave and washer dryer.
The lounge has freesat television, a DVD player, a CD and MP3 adapter and plenty of books, games and OS maps for visitors to borrow.
Towels, bedding and heating (apart from logs) are included.
The barn is comfortable but the different internal levels may not be suitable for the very young or frail. We can advise you further on this.
Water is from a natural spring.
The barn is secluded yet within walking distance of the village shop and the Hafod Arms. As you sit in the garden you can hear the arrival of the narrow gauge steam train as it steams into the village.
A twenty minute drive takes you to the coast at Aberystwyth and there are plenty of sandy beaches to explore along the Cambrian coastline. Inland you will also find plenty to do. Adventurous walkers can explore the mountains around Plynlimon, or you might find the graded walks on the Hafod estate more suitable.
Bird watchers will find the red kites at Bwlch Nant yr Arian fascinating or you could venture south or north to various RSPB sites/Nature Reserves
Locally you can eat well at The Hafod Arms Hotel or you could drive further afield to the increasingly cosmopolitan restaurants of Aberystwyth and its environs.
This is a delightful and relatively undiscovered part of Wales where a warm welcome awaits you.
