With some of the apartments and houses enjoying sea views, each 2 to 5 bedroomed unit offers superb comfort and includes a fully equipped kitchen; ensuite bath/shower rooms; central heating; spacious living areas and private parking.Many have recently been refurbished for the 2008 season. Some have sundecks overlooking the tennis courts which guests can enjoy at a reduced rate with the exception of July and August when tennis club membership is available. The club is open from mid July until the end of August and social membership is included in the rental charges. 20% Discount on green fees are available at Thorpeness Golf Course all year round on production of a handicap certificate......Guests may also arrange to play at Aldeburgh Golf Club at reduced rates. The 3 star hotel offers excellent bars and a restaurant, snooker room, sky TV, library and sun terrace overlooking the lake and gardens. Rowing Boat Hire available from the Hotel from Easter to late Autumn and Cycle Hire is all year round.Try our new electric cycles, fun with the minimum of effort.

It is worthwhile exploring Suffolk's Heritage Coast and the wonderfully traditional seaside towns of Aldeburgh and Southwold or Sutton Hoo and many other heritage sites. Closeby are riding stables, and one of the premier clay shooting venues in the country Highlodge at Hinton.

Cycle Hire, Boating and Croquet. - Cycles may be hired for the day or for the week from the hotel. From Easter to October there are also small rowing boats for hire or large boats may be hired from the Meare boathouse. Croquet is played in the hotel gardens.
Golf on one of East Anglias' finest courses. - Enjoy a 20% discount on Green Fees. Our 18 hole course over gorse and heather coastal country side offers a challenge and is playable all year round. You do need to bring a handicap certificate with you to play golf and pre book tee times at the Pro Shop....
Ideal venue for seaside weddings, functions or cor - Seating up to 120 guests with catering, bar and full wedding planning service. The experience management team can advise on a variety of menus, entertainment and the little personal touches that will make your event special.
The beach - Some apartments overlook the beach, and all are only a short walk from the shore.
The Meare -
Thorpeness Hotel Lounge - The hotel offers excellent dining. The new retaurant menu has a selection of dishes indiviually priced and the chefs' pride themselves on useing fresh, local and seasonal produce whenever possible. For a lighter meal try the terrace and patio menu available throught the day. Children are welcome and smaller portions or special dishes may be requested.
Thorpeness Tennis - There are seven hard courts and in Summer two grass courts. Tennis is free to residents with the exception of July and August when full or temporary Tennis Club membership is available.
