The cottage is situated in a quiet coastal village, providing a restful and relaxing holiday, on the shores of the Moray Firth, near Spey Bay and its famous Whale, Seal and Dolphin watching. You can enjoy a peaceful stay in a picturesque fishing village, close to Elgin and a myriad of whisky distilleries on Scotland famous whisky trail.
The Cottage:
· Just 100 yards from the seafront, this cosy cottage enjoys a village setting within a short stroll to the beach & harbour.
· The coastline's stunning scenery, charming fishing villages and picturesque harbours invite exploration.
· The energetic can enjoy the coastal path as well as miles of traffic free walking along the Speyside Way.
· The historical town of Elgin offers good shopping and leisure facilities as well as the historical site of Elgin Cathedral. Castle and whisky trails nearby.
· Golfers are also well catered for with many superb courses locally, which are open to visitors.
· If fishing is your sport, Trout, Salmon and Sea fishing are also available within easy reach with the Spey within 4 miles this can be arranged locally.
· Use the time in the cottage to completely unwind, Holistic therapy courses can be arranged locally with a qualified person in conjunction with your stay.
· During your stay, enjoy your own dolphin watch from the beach at Portgordon or along the coast. Ensure you bring own binoculars. Dolphin watching trips can be arranged locally in Buckie at the harbour.
· Portgordon facilities include, small supermarket, Post Office & pubs within walking distance of the cottage. The town of Buckie is 2miles away for larger shops and restaurants. With Inverness & Aviemore a 50min drive.
The accommodation comprises:
· Bedrooms (1) plus Sofa Bed - sleeps max 4
· Cosy comfortable Lounge with leather sofa`s, multifuel fire
· TV, DVD & CD/Radio player.
· Dining Kitchen: fully equipped with cooker, microwave, fridge and automatic washing machine, tumble dryer etc. Table to seat 4
· Drying facilities and outdoor seating area located at rear of cottage.
· Bathroom: Bath with shower.
· Bedrooms: 1 with Double bed, double Sofa bed in lounge. (Travel cot available)
· Linen, gas & electricity included in charges quoted.
Additional
A basket of logs is supplied for multifuel fire; additional logs can be purchased at the local Post Office.
