Ann Tysons self catering holiday cottages comprise of two grade 2* listed Lakeland cottages adjacent to one another in the centre of Hawkshead, Cumbria.
A family orientated village in the heart of the English Lake District, one of Britain's most beautiful areas with its unsurpassed skyline of mountains, breathtaking views and an atmosphere steeped in custom and tradition.
The first holiday cottage is "Ann Tyson's Main Cottage", a grade 2* listed Lake District self catering holiday cottage, early home of the poet, William Wordsworth, who lodged at the cottage between 1779 and 1787.
The accommodation in "The Main Cottage" consists of 2 double bedrooms both with hand basins and an extra single bed on a large landing. This will accommodate 4 / 5 people in all. There is a ground floor bathroom, for easy access, with bath and electric shower, toilet and hand basin.
There are Oak beams and an open brick fireplace, coal provided, and oil fired central heating. The Lounge has a colour T.V and a dining area. The kitchen is fully equipped with an electric cooker, microwave and a fridge freezer. There is parking on the front of the holiday cottage for one vehicle.
The second self catering holiday cottage is "Ann Tyson's Top Cottage", smaller accommodation, it has 2 bedrooms, one twin and one double,sleeping up to 4 people, ideally two adults, two children.
There is a lounge with colour TV, open fire (coal provided) and oil-fired central heating. The bathroom has a shower, toilet and hand basin. There is a small kitchenette with an electric cooker, fridge freezer and microwave and a small dining area. The cottage also has a private garden and private parking space for one vehicle.
