The cottage has recently undergone a full renovation. Pets welcome. The property is non smoking. Overlooking Hury reservoir, the cottage is ideally situated for walks, fishing and touring the surrounding area. In the local area is Barnard Castle, the Bowes museum and High Force (waterfall). To the west, Penrith and the Lake District are 45 minutes away by car, easily reachable for a day trip. Similarly, to the south are the North Yorkshire Dales, with it's pretty villages and lovely walks. For those wishing to do some shopping, Newcastle and the Metrocentre are an hour away by car and Leeds and York are an hour and a quarter. Closer to home is Durham with it's historic cathedral and castle. Facilities in the cottage include: Kitchen/Diner with a large feature arched window overlooking the local countryside. The kitchen is well equipped with a halogen cooker, a fridge/freezer, dishwasher, microwave, kettle and toaster. Living Room. Comfortable surroundings with a sofa, remote colour TV, DVD player and an electric stove. Double Bedroom containing a double bed with a stable door giving views over the reservoir. Twin Bedroom with two single beds Bathroom with cast iron bath and over bath power shower. Sun Porch with small table and chairs. Parking is for two cars.
