| Gardener's Cottage is a charming canalside cottage ideal for relaxing breaks spent fishing from the beautiful, landscaped, riverside garden or longer holidays walking along the towpath to nearby Bradford on Avon, and exploring Bath and the Cotswolds.
Interior
Entering this period cottage through the stable door guests pass the cloakroom and ground floor shower room to enter the fully fitted kitchen with hand-built pine units, a stainless steel oven and hob. Equipment includes a freezer, washing machine and microwave. Stairs then lead to the first floor lounge which features two double settees, television with DVD player and a telephone point.
On the second floor, the en-suite main bedroom with double bed has antique pine wardrobe, matching chest of drawers and dressing table. Both the lounge, and main bedroom share wonderful views of the Kennet and Avon canal with canal boats meandering slowly along the aqueduct on their passage to Bath.
On the third floor is a child's bedroom with matching pine furniture.
Outside
Gardener's Cottage features a beautiful landscaped riverside garden leading right up to the side of the Kennet and Avon Canal Aqueduct. Decking out on to the river, beneath a sweeping willow tree, offers the chance of a days fishing, or just to sit back and relax. Parking is available right outside the front door.
Location
Gardener's Cottage is one of only 27 homes in the small hamlet of Avoncliff, sitting in the Limpley Stoke Valley in rural Wiltshire. Avoncliff, where the Kennet And Avon Canal travels over the River Avon on the magnificent aqeuduct, also consists of a popular country pub, with good food and real ales, and a local train station on the Heart Of Wessex Line, that has rail links to Bath, Bristol and Weymouth.
