| The apartment, situated in the exclusive resort of Almerimar on the Costa de Almeria,Andalucia, Southern Spain, is in the superbly designed development La Ladera Del Golf with generous parking and service roads. Its fully fitted, and beautifully furnished for the owners use with classic marble floors throughout. Fully fitted kitchen with granite tops, washing machine,hob/oven,fridge/freezer etc.
These factors combine to create an extremely large terrace with a magnificent view. Below you the whole of the resort is laid out with the green of the golf course and the cream and terracotta low-rise buildings surrounding the marina with blue sea.
Everything in the resort is within walking distance and the attractive marina provides a wide range of restaurants and bars to suit your mood including top class cuisine in attractive locations overlooking the water.
Outside
The garden area and pool,together with 5-a-side football,tennis & basketball courts are reserved exclusively for the residents/guests of the apartments.
Coast/Beach
The beaches and the marina are 3 minutes away by car. Alternatively a pleasant 15 minute walk - in fact,all the main features of the resort are within walking distance. If you were happy to just pass a few days in the resort just around the apartment, the terrace, the gardens, the huge pool, the beaches and the marina you could quite easily manage without a car but a car opens up the whole of the coastal area to explore.
Golf
Almerimar has 3 golf courses with another 2 being built. The closest golf is a 10/15 minutes walk or 5 minutes away by car and is an excellent 27-hole golf course designed by Gary Player in 1976. The Clubhouse is friendly and the attractive restaurant provides excellent food for hungry golfers. Clubs, trolleys and buggies are available for hire. A few hundred metres from this golf course is the next 18 hole course.
30 minutes by road to the east towards Almeria are two more excellent courses, La Serena at Roquetas and La Envia just 10 minutes north of Roquetas in the mountains – not for the faint-hearted! An hour to the east is the new and highly rated Valle d’Este golf course and another 15 minutes east brings you to the legendary Desert Springs course - Almerimar is a golfer’s paradise.
Skiing
The apartment is just 2 hours away from the great “Sky Station” ski village resort near Granada in the Sierra Nevada range reached through breath-taking scenery on top class mountain motorways.
Travel
Malaga is about 200 Km to the west and the journey to the airport by car currently takes around 2.5 hours.
Almeria Airport is 40 minutes to the east and is now served from UK by EasyJet & Ryanair,Monarch, B.A.Flybe & Mytravel and from Ireland by Aer Lingus.
The famous city of Granada is about 2 hour drive.
You can also get a Ferry to the Canary Islands from the nearby town of Roquetas de Mar.
Further details
The town of Almerimar has Europe's second largest marina as its focal point. Surrounding this is a large selection of bars & restaurants with the usual mix of supermarkets, shops and banks that you would expect.
5 minute drive inland from the apartment brings you to a large shopping centre and multiplex cinema.
