The Granary with swimming pool is a spacious 3 bedroom cottage comprising entrance lobby, fully fitted farmhouse kitchen,dining room, single bedroom and adjacent Victorian style bathroom. Large lounge, 2 very spacious double bedrooms one twin and the other double with en suite shower room both commanding fabulous views. Situated in the small village of High Hurstwood, the property is approached from a quiet country lane, and stands in the grounds of the owners’ farm offering spectacular views over it’s own land and the countryside beyond. The owners’ heated Swimming Pool is available for guests’ use Mon – Fri 10am – 7pm between Mid May and Sept. Adjoining The Granary is a private fenced Garden and Patio with BBQ. We provide parking for up to 2 cars. The property is situated in a peaceful rural location yet within easy access to Tunbridge Wells, Historical Lewes, Glyndebourne Opera House and the Coastal towns of Eastbourne and famous Brighton. Good local shopping in Uckfield which has 2 supermarkets and a Cinema. Witin 10 mins is Buxted Station with regular trains services to London. There are miles of excellent walking on footpaths accessed within a few mins stroll of The Granary, on the neighbouring farm, and in Buxted Park with it’s herds of fallow deer. Slightly further afield is Ashdown Forest with it’s Winnie the Pooh connections, and the South Downs. We are also well located for fishing, cycling and horse riding on Ashdown Forest. Local Attractions: Famous Glyndebourne Opera House, Charleston Farmhouse, Batemans, Sheffield Park Gardens, Blue Bell Railway, & numerous National Trust properties. East Sussex National Golf course & Plumpton Races. T-Room, Farm shop, Buxted Park Hotel, & fruit picking farm. Newhaven within 35 mins offers daily ferry service to Dieppe, France.
