Aynsome Manor Park is quietly set in the wooded grounds of the former Aynsome Manor, around the ancient fish-ponds of the monks of Cartmel Priory, 0.6m from the ancient village of Cartmel (Priory, 4 pubs & 1 michelin * restaurant). The Park is collectively owned by the lodge owners,and is much loved and beautifully cared-for by them, as a retreat from busy lives. Our 4 person, 2 bathroom lodge, unusually, has a partially walled garden, is south and west facing and has lovely views..to Greenbank. We are in The Lake District National Park, midway between Lake Windermere (4.5 miles) and the Morecombe Bay coast at Grange over Sands (3 miles). We are ideally placed for exploring the South Lakes, yet only 20 mins from junction 36 on the M6. Weekly lets Friday-Friday. Short breaks available from Fri to Mon, and Mon to Fri @66%-70% of full price, except school holiday periods, when only available at 'last minute'. Bathroom - Tricky to photograph as there are mirrors both sides of the corner bath! Also has vanity basin unit and Wc.
Cartmel - A view from the racecourse.Lovely walks from here, which you can round off with a visit to the Priory, one of the 4 village pubs (all of which serve excellent food), 2 restaurants (+1 cafe) or go shopping!
Front terrace view - The south facing slate terrace has lovely views south and west. It is kept private by 3 m high stone walls to the east and north and by hedging and being raised above the areas to its south and west.
kitchen - Pine units, fully equipped with plenty of work space, built in oven, hob, fridge/freezer, microwave, toaster, kettle etc
Living area - The living area is open to the roof and open plan to the kitchen and dining areas. It is an exceptionally light room with views to the south over the slate terrace and past the monkey puzzle trees of Aynsome Manor Hotel towards Cartmel, and to the west to the Cartmel valley, Greenbank and the hills beyond.

Master bedroom - Very private, with views west through oriel window and 3 m high stone wall to north. Very comfortable pocket sprung king size double bed. Plenty of cupboard and drawer space. Ensuite shower room with WC and wb vanity unit.

The Monks fish pond in Aynsome Manor Park - It is a pleasure just to walk around the park..
The view west to Greenbank - Hence the name of the lodge...
Twin bedded room - Pocket sprung beds, with window facing 3m high stone wall, so again v private. ideal for watching the birds in the trees above the wall from bed!

Views from Aynsome Manor Park - From the SW corner of the Park towards Cartmel and its beautiful Priory. There is a lovely walk over these fields to Cartmel which takes about 20mins.
