Ty’r Delyn has been attractively created from two of a row of miners’ cottages, about five minutes walk from the centre of the village. The cottage backs onto an enclosed garden by way of a footbridge over a small stream which tinkles down right beneath the rear windows. From the garden you can view the surrounding mountains – Snowdon and Dolwyddelan Castle are visible on a clear day. A small patio allows a barbecue beside the stream. Dolwyddelan village nestles under a breathtaking wilderness of mountain peaks, waterfalls, rivers and forests, wonderful for walking, climbing, bird watching, fishing, painting and photography. Its ruined castle (painted by Prince Charles) was probably the birthplace of Llewellyn the Great.
