THE AREA: Located right in the city centre, on Lothian Road, Apartment 39 Lothian House is just across the street from the Edinburgh International Conference Centre and within a few minutes' walking distance of Edinburgh's main attractions. Princes Street and Gardens, the Castle, The Royal Mile, the Grassmarket, major theatres, galleries, museums, cinemas, pubs, clubs, shops and richly varied restaurants are all very close. (The Usher Hall, the Traverse, Lyceum and King's Theatres are all in the immediate vicinity.) The location of the property is ideal for visitors who want to stay right in the centre of this vibrant city. It is an easy pleasant walk to all the attractions. The Sheraton Grand Hotel and the famous Caledonian Hotel are also both located on Lothian Road in the same area.
THE APARTMENT: Apartment 39 Lothian House is a unique historic property which will suit discerning travellers. It provides compact, secure, comfortable accommodation for up to 4 guests, but is ideally suited for a couple. It has one bedroom with King size double bed, sitting room with double sofa-bed, kitchen with dining area and modern bathroom with power shower over the full size bath. An extensive range of facilities are provided including Widescreen TV, DVD (with complimentary movies), Hi-Fi/CD player, books, well stocked tourist information folders, double glazing and effective heating! The kitchen is fully equipped with quality kitchenware & appliances, including a microwave. The dining table has seating for 4 guests. All linens, towels, pool towels, gas and electricity are provided. The property has been recently refurbished, maintaining a tastefully decorative style throughout, and providing a welcoming 'home away from home' atmosphere.
THE BUILDING: The apartment is on the third floor of Lothian House (a landmark B Listed Art-Deco Building of important national heritage) on the corner of Lothian Road and Morrison Street. Lothian House has a security entrance with entry phone system, 2 lifts, a private Leisure Complex with pool, sauna and gym and shops at street level.
TRANSPORT: There are several major city centre car parks conveniently located close by, but you will not need a car for activities within the city centre. Edinburgh has a first class public transport system and buses and taxis pass the front door if you want to travel further afield, or just need to rest your legs after long days sightseeing!
Our minimum booking period is 3 nights, with discounts for weekly reservations and longer stays. The rates quoted on this website include ‘value added’ extras comprising a very generous arrival welcome continental breakfast package, luxury toiletries and a ‘sweet treats’ basket to help make your stay more enjoyable.
