The large family and pet friendly home, is ideal for those seeking the best of both worlds, a relaxing retreat and excellent outdoor activities. The pretty Scottish Highland village of Newtonmore is also within walking distance and has its own set of shops and places to eat.
Biallid has been in the Macpherson family for many years and a museum dedicated to their history resides in Newtonmore. The charm and character of Biallid's history has been retained in many of the rooms, with window shutters, wood floors and servant bells still in place.
Downstairs at the house the rooms are large and spacious and enjoy wonderful views over the local countryside and mountains.
The Drawing Room is the ideal place for everyone to gather to arrange activities or watch TV. The room has large comfy sofas and a warming open fire, ideal for winter months. The dining area featuring a beautiful period wood table is located at the far end of the Drawing Room.
The well equipped kitchen at the house is lovely and bright with windows on two sides. The kitchen has all the usual appliances, as well as few traditional ones, including a lovely AGA, a separate conventional hob is also provided. The handy utility room/boot room houses the washing machine and tumble dryer, as well as a spare freezer.
Children will love the added bonus of a cosy games room packed full of jigsaws and board games, while adults can relax in the Morning Room, an elegant room located towards the front of the house and perfect for quiet evenings.
There are seven bedrooms at Biallid, these include a handy downstairs double with en-suite, a Master with en-suite, two standard doubles, two twins and a triple. A cot is also available on request for an additional infant. As well as the two en-suite bathrooms, the house has three family bathrooms and two ground floor cloakrooms.
Outside, Biallid has a large garden perfect for children or dogs.
