Within walking distance of the local shop and pub in Mayfield village, the cottage is also ideally placed for visiting the numerous holiday attractions on your doorstep.|
How about wandering along nearby Dove Dale with its breathtaking scenery, riding the Tissington Trail on a hired bike or strolling round Ashbourne with its cobbled market square, interesting range of shops, lots of pubs and some really good restaurants. The Limestone Way will lead you up into the Peaks where you will find fantastic places like the National Tramway Museum, the Heights of Abraham and even the amazing little Ecclesbourne railway.
Remember, however, to leave some time aside to revel in the majesty of Chatsworth House, enjoy the water sport spills at Carsington Water and experience the heart stopping thrills of the latest rides at nearby Alton Towers.
