|La Ferme d'Emilie is situated in Larocal, a small hamlet of the commune of Sainte Sabine Born in the South of the Dordogne Area, in what is called the Perigord Pourpre. Purple being the colour of wine. With the Bergerac wines such as Pecharmant and Monbazillac, this area honours the traditional French wine culture.
A map of the famous Bergerac wine-route is available in the cottages.
The 'Ferme d'Emilie' is a traditional perigourdine property. In 2005 the old barn was completely renovated and transformed into two comfortable and spacious holidaycottages (120/100m2).
Cottage 'Côté Jardin' has 3 bedrooms and sleeps up to 6 persons.
Cottage 'Côté Vigne' has 2 bedrooms and sleeps up to 5 persons.
Each cottage has a private terrace with bbq and furniture as well as a private parking space.
The garden and pool are shared by the two cottages.
The owners, Hilde and Willy are looking forward to welcome you at 'La Ferme d'Emilie' and would like to share with you the beauty of the region with his pré-historical sites, its exceptional medieval architecture and always green countryside.
Willy has a passion for history, archeology and pre-history and has an extensive collection of pre-historical tools made out of silex. If you are interested he will show you his collection with all the necessary explanations. For children who are interested, we can organise a 2 hour class (free of charge) to learn how to cut these prehistorical tools and have a try at it themselves.
Three times a week you can order table d'hôte. This means that Hilde cooks and you just enjoy a lovely meal at the Ferme d'Emilie.
